Andhra Pepper Chicken
Prep Time: 20 mins I Marinating Time: 1 hr. I Cooking Time: 30-35 mins I Serving: 3-4

Ingredients :-
For Marination :-
500 g / 1.1 pound Chicken (cubes with bones)
1 tsp. Turmeric Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 tbsp. Garlic (minced)
1 tbsp. Lime Juice
For the Base :-
4 tbsp. / 60 ml Veg Oil
5-6 Cloves
2-3 Green Cardamom
2-3 Sprigs Curry Leaf (small & fresh)
1 tbsp. Garlic (minced)
2 Onion, medium-sized (chopped)
2-3 Green Chilli (Chopped) OPTIONAL
2 tsp. Coriander Powder
2 tbsp. Whole Black Peppercorns (freshly crushed)
1 cup/230 ml Water
Salt to taste
For Garnishing :-
½ tsp freshly crushed Pepper powder
3-4 Sprigs Fresh Coriander (chopped)
1 tsp Lime Juice
Method :-
Take a large bowl and marinate the chicken with turmeric powder + salt + minced garlic + lime juice. Mix well and refrigerate covered for 1 hr.
Heat veg oil in a vessel/pan, once the oil is hot add cloves + green cardamom + curry leaves + minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1-2 mins on low-medium heat
Next add chopped onions to the pan and sauté for 5-7 mins on low-medium heat
To the pan add chopped green chillies and stir for a minute
Once the onion turns golden brown in colour add the marinated mutton to the vessel/pan and mix well and sauté for 3-4 mins on low-medium heat
Add coriander powder + freshly crushed black pepper + salt. Mix well and sauté for 3-4 mins
Add water to the pan and mix well. Cover and cook for 15-20 mins on low flame. Keep stirring as and when required to avoid sticking and burning
Once completely cooked and almost dried, Switch off the gas. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander, crushed pepper powder and lime juice.
Time to Taste :)
Enjoy this dish with plain boiled Rice, Akki Roti, Paratha or Butter Naan
