Thai Lemon Garlic Chicken Wings

Thai Lemon Garlic Chicken Wings glazed with a sticky sauce infused with authentic thai flavours is perfect for easy midweek entertaining or weekend blast. A flavorful mixture of blended fresh lemongrass rings, garlic, soy sauce and herbs is used as a marinade for the chicken wings before they are pan seared. Ingredients :-

For Marinade :-

½ kg/1.1 lb. Chicken Wings (divided into drumettes and flats, washed properly & pat-dry) Salt to taste ½ tsp. Black Pepper Powder ¼ tsp. Baking Powder 1 stalk Lemongrass (washed well & cut into small rings)

1 tsp. Fresh Lime Juice

1 tsp. Brown Sugar 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce 7-8 Garlic Cloves, small (minced)

For Sauce :-

1 tbsp. Vegetable Oil 1 chiplet/20 g. Butter (salted) 2 tbsp. Green Onions/Scallions (green part, finely chopped)

Method :-

For marinating :-

In a large bowl add the chicken wings and next, add all the ingredients mentioned under the marination list one by one. Mix well until all the chicken wings gets well coated with the marinade

Cover it & keep in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hrs./overnight for best results

For Pan Frying :-

Next day, take out the marinated chicken wings from the refrigerator and mix again with the marinade and set aside

Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over a low medium flame. Add the marinated chicken wings to the pan along with the remaining marinade. Cook for 1-2 mins on low med flame and flip over. Next, cover the pan with a lid and cook for 15-20 mins on low flame. Flip over in regular intervals

After 10-12 mins remove the lid and flip over the chicken wings. Next add butter to the pan, stir to mix well with the wings. Once the butter gets completely melted, flip again and cook for another 7-8 mins on low flame until the chicken wings get completely cooked. Once the wings gets completely cooked , switch off the gas and garnish with scallions/green onions(green part)

Transfer the chicken wings to the serving plate and serve with salad/dip of your choice
