Homemade Strawberry Syrup

Prep Time: 20 mins I Cooking Time: 20-25 I Serve: 350 - 400 g.

This simple homemade Strawberry Syrup recipe is the perfect flavor to add a fruity vibe to pancakes, cocktails, sodas, ice cream, desserts, and much more. Strawberry syrup, with just 3 ingredients, is so easy to make. It's a fun to get the most out of fresh strawberries while they're in season, and a great change of pace from traditional simple syrup in mocktails, iced tea and much more.

Ingredients :-

1 Kg. Strawberries (fresh)

½ cup/100 g. + 2 tbsp. Sugar

1 cup/230 ml. Water

Method :-

Add sugar + water to the pan and mix well, bring it to a boil. Once the sugar gets completely dissolved and the water starts boiling add the strawberries to the pan and give it a stir. Cover the pan with lid and allow the strawberries to simmer for 12-15 mins on low flame until strawberries turn soft

Remove the lid after 15 mins and with the help of masher, mash the strawberries until pulpy. Cover again and cook for another 8-10 mins on low flame

Remove the lid after 8-10 mins and with the help of masher, mash the strawberries again until it starts thickening the syrup. Stir to check the consistency and continue to cook until syrup reduces to half (stir continuously)

Once the syrup has reduced to half, remove the froth from the sides and switch off the gas and allow it to cool down. Once completely cold, transfer the syrup to the glass bottle and store in the fridge for 2 weeks. Use for shakes, mojito, lassi, smoothies, ice creams etc.

Time to taste:)
