Fish in Honey Lemon Garlic Sauce

Fish in Honey Lemon Garlic Sauce is a flavorful delicacy made using white fish and exotic combination of honey, soy sauce, garlic. Along with honey and garlic, fish is even flavored using ingredients such as pepper, dark soy sauce, and lemon juice. This Asian-inspired honey soy fish is a great 30 minute meal for busy weeknights!


Ingredients :-


For marinating :-


1 large/350 g. Sea Bass Fillet (washed & pat dry)

½ tsp. Salt

½ tsp. Black Pepper Powder

For Seasoning sauce :-


1 tbsp. Lime Juice 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce (dark) 2 tbsp. Honey 8-10 Garlic Cloves, small (finely chopped)

For Fish Pan Frying :-

1.5 tbsp. Veg Oil 4-5 Garlic Cloves (finely chopped) 20 g./1 Chiplet Butter (salted)

3-4 Lemon Slices 1 tbsp. Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)


Process :-


For Marinating :-


Place the fish fillet on the chopping board and cut into 5 inch big pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Rub gently. Cover it and set aside to marinate for 20 mins


For Seasoning sauce :-


Add all the ingredients mentioned under the seasoning sauce list one by one to a small bowl and mix well. Set aside(covered)


For Fish Pan Frying :-


Heat veg oil on a low-medium flame in a non-stick pan. Next, add the marinated fish fillets to the pan and cook for 3-4 mins on low med flame. After 3-4 mins flip over to cook the other side of the fish for another 3-4 mins


Next, lower down the flame and add finely chopped garlic + butter to the pan and stir to mix garlic and butter together. Flip over and cook the fillets for another 2-3 mins on low flame


Once the fish turn golden on the outside and fully cooked from the inside, lower the flame and add the prepared seasoning sauce to the pan. Cook for 2-3 mins and add a few lemon slices. Flip over and allow the fish fillets to simmer in sauce for another 2-3 mins on low flame. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and switch off the gas.



Transfer the fish to the serving platter and glaze the fish with the cooked oil and garnish with some more freshly chopped coriander


Time to Taste:)


Serve with a chilled drink of your choice like pina colada, lemon ice tea etc.
