Korean Chicken Wings

Korean Chicken Wings are packed with bold and spicy flavors, thanks to a marinade made with soy sauce, gochujang, and brown sugar and honey. These Yummy wings are coated in a sweet, spicy and sticky sauce that you would love to relish every weekend! It’s one of my favorite dish due to the gochujang (Korean chili sauce) which delivers bold flavors in just one ingredient. An effortless dish I, bet you would definitely fall for:)


Ingredients :-


For Marinade :-


1 kg/2.2 lb. Chicken Wings (chicken drumettes & flats (wing tips removed) 1 inch fresh Ginger (minced) 8-10 Garlic Cloves (minced) 1 Onion, large (grated & water squeezed out) 1.5 tsp. Sesame Oil ¼ cup/60 ml. Soy Sauce(dark) 1 tbsp. Sugar (brown/white) 2 tbsp. Honey 1.5 tbsp. Gochujang (korean chili paste) 1 tsp. Black Pepper Powder

For Cooking :-

1 tbsp. Vegetable Oil


Process :-


For Marinating :-


In a large bowl add chicken wings and then add all the ingredients mentioned under the marination list one by one to the bowl


Mix well until all the chicken wings gets well coated with the marinade


Cover it & keep in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hrs./overnight for best results


For Cooking :-


Next day, take out the marinated chicken wings from the refrigerator and mix again with the marinade and set aside


Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over a low medium flame. Place the marinated chicken wings to the pan and pour half of the marinade mix over the chicken wings and reserve the remaining marinade.


Cover and cook for 20 mins on low flame. Stir in regular intervals


After 20 mins remove the lid. Pour the reserved marinade over the wings and mix well. Cover again and cook for another 20-25 mins on low flame until the chicken wings get completely cooked. Don't forget to stir in intervals.


After 20-25 mins remove the lid and check if the chicken wings are completely cooked and the sauce has thickened if yes, then roast the wings for 1-2 mins on high flame and switch off the gas


Transfer the chicken wings to the serving plate and garnish with fresh finely chopped coriander leaves and toasted white sesame seeds and serve with chilled Cheesy Dip


Time to taste:)


Serve with the dip of your choice and a chilled drink:)
