Sweet and Sour Pineapple Chicken Wings

Crispy Sweet and Sour Chicken is absolutely delicious and mouthwatering recipe - better than restaurant. Perfect DROOL OVER dish. Serve over white rice to enjoy at its best:)


Ingredients :-


For Marinade :-


1 kg/2.2 lb. Chicken Wings (Whole - divided into drumettes and flats, washed properly & pat-dry)2 tbsp. Soy Sauce2 tbsp. Hoisin Sauce1 tsp. Garlic Ginger Paste1 tbsp. HoneySalt to taste1 tsp. Red Chili Powder¼ tsp. Black Pepper Powder¼ tsp. Smoked Paprika Powder¼ tsp. Sesame Oil


For Sauce :-


40 g. Butter (salted, divided)3 Preserved Pineapple Slices (cut into half)3 tbsp. Water1 tbsp. Hot Chili Sauce (sriracha)

1-2 tsp. Freshly chopped coriander leaves


Method :-


For marinating :-


In a large bowl add the chicken wings and next, add all the ingredients mentioned under the marination list one by one. Mix well until all the chicken wings gets well coated with the marinade


Cover it & keep in refrigerator for minimum 3 hrs./overnight for best results


For Pan Frying :-


Next day, take out the marinated chicken wings from the refrigerator and mix again with the marinade and set aside


Heat butter in a non-stick pan over a low medium flame. Place the pineapple slices in the pan and cook for a minute. Once the pineapple slices starts caramelising, turn to caramelise the other side 


Add more 20 g butter along with the marinated wings to the pan and cook for 15-20 mins on low flame. After 10-12 mins add water and deglaze the pan. Stir for 10-15 sec and allow to cook on low flame until wings turn soft


Add the remaining marinade to the pan. Mix well with the wings. Cover and cook for 8-10 mins on low medium flame until the sauce thickens. Stir continuously 


After 3-4 mins remove the lid, turn the wings to cook the other side. Cover again and allow the wings to cook completely


Remove the lid and add sriracha to the pan, mix well and roast the wings for 1-2 mins on low medium flame


Once the sauce thickens and the chicken wings gets golden glaze on outside with the sticky sauce, turn off the flame


Transfer the chicken wings to the serving platter and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve with dip of your choice


Time to taste:)
